PARENTS NOTE from Mrs. Wagners: School starts up again on Tuesday, September 5!

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL

Preschool

A staff person will be at the McDermed circle drive door at 8:40 a.m. (school starts at 8:45 a.m.) and between 11:45 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to assist the children getting in and out of the cars.

Any child arriving later than 8:45 a.m. should be brought to the office. This will keep classes that are in progress from being disturbed.

Daily activities are planned so that children benefit most by being prompt and regular in their attendance. Our morning circle begins at 9:00 a.m. and provides an introduction to the day. Arriving at school late is upsetting to your child and disruptive to the teacher and the other children.

We realize that emergencies arise and try to be flexible in these matters. If you find that you are going to be late, please call and notify the school. This enables us to help your child remain calm and understand that you will be along shortly. No child will be released to anyone other than the parent or guardian ore someone designated in writing by the parents.

Grades One - Three

Classes begin at 8:45 a.m. Tardies will be recorded at 9:00 a.m. for the report card. The number of tardy minutes will be taken off recess unless it is an excused tardy (i.e., car trouble, illness).

Children are to be dropped off and picked up at the circle drive on Cliffwood. At dismissal time, a staff person will assist the children into the cars. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR UNATTENDED AT THIS TIME AS ALL OTHER PARENTS MUST USE THIS DRIVE. If it is necessary for you to come into the school during this time, please park in the parking lot across Cliffwood.

If you find that you are going to be late picking up your child, please call and notify the school so that we may inform your child. No child will be released to anyone other than the parent or guardian or someone designated in writing by the parents. Plans for going home with a friend after school must be arranged prior to coming to school and a written and signed note must accompany the child whose normal procedure is being changed.
